What’s new in the 4.18 release (pre-release)

The 4.18 has the following improvements:

For Triggers and drums modes

  • Euclidian functionality for Trigger and Drums modes.

    • Added advanced edit mode (‘E’ icon on upper rigth shall be On to enter this mode)

      • Menu/Shift (Up/Down) to select track.

      • Select (turn) to change Euclidian events number, (see graphical representation on line 1.)

      • Select (push) to apply it on desired track.

      • Push Edit to exit advanded edit.

  • Polymeters functionality for Triggers and Drums.

    • See TRIGGER/DRUMS LENGTH page in setting mode to set the individual track length.

For Sequences modes

  • 4 user scales, with length and progression choice between each note in the scale.

For Trigger drums and Sequences modes

  • Probabilities from 0 to 100% to trigg the ‘X’ Icon.

    • See chance page in setting mode.

    • 3 individuals probabilities are available for :

      Trig, Drums and Notes.

Important :

1) This is a pre-release, some functionalities are not fully tested like Song mode.

2) Due to new features added that need code space, the following functionalities are not present in this release

  • LoFi DCO on CV1 output.

  • Reverse functionality for notes sequences.

3) For TS1 version 3.7 and older, (same recommendations) due to the add of new icons, for old version owner it is imperative to erase the permanent memory of the TS1 using the service mode:

  • Download the firmware, then install it on the TS1 using the procedure described in the reference manual.

  • Once the firmware is installed, enter service mode: SHIFT and EDIT pressed when powering up.

  • Perform all of the following operations: - ERASE ALL TRIGGERS, SEQUENCES, CHORDS, SONG, SCENES.

  • Enter settings mode: Turn the Mode knob to the setting position then turn select to "SETTINGS" and press Select.

  • Press Edit or Select to enter in setting edition, browse the general menu until "Init Settings" press Select (blink arrow) change the state to "On" then press Select to Init the settings.

Restart the TS1 normally, if you get an inconsistent display repeat the erase the memory or reset settings operation.

What’s new in the 3.9a revision

The 3.9firmware brings new improvements versus 3.8 version, these are the following:

  • Full and rapid access to Mutes, Solo and Transpose for trigger, drums , sequences 1,2,3,4/Chord in any pattern modes.

  • Full support for new remote app version 1.6 with added buttons for Solo tracks, Un-mute and Un-solo sequences.

  • One LoFi DCO on CV/Gate1 generating Sawtooth waveform.Dedicated for bass and playing only Sequence 1 notes, from 1 to 3 octave (0 to 4 if transpose -12 is enabled).

Important:

Due to the add of new icons, for old version owner it is imperative to erase the permanent memory of the TS1 using the service mode:

TS1 Firmware 3.8b1

What’s new in 3.8b1 version.

The new firmware 3.8 brings many features compared to previous versions including the following:
- Simplified interface with harmonized controls and one-button-one-function concept.
- New icons for notes and steps triggers with modifiers and ratchet.
- External control with TS1RemoteApp1_4 via the MobMuPlat application compatible with iOS and Android.
These improvements are possible thanks to the removal of A/B for the sequences to save enough code space.

Important:

What’s new in 3.3D5

Scale transposition added only for SEQ1.
Select + Menu enable/disable the feature: “St” icon appears when enabled.
Note sequences will be transposed to the nearest note of the current scale.
Also correct some minor bugs.

TS1RemoteApp1_7 gives you live capabilities with your TS1 thanks to a tactile surface.

How to install

First you need to Download/Install MobMuPlat on your mobile device.
NOTE : MobMuPlat is free and available for IOS and Android plateform, tablette or phone.


Download TS1RemoteApp1_7.zip from your mobile platform at :https://bvr-instruments.net/s/Ts1RemoteApp1_7.zip


On iOS mobile : After downloaded, select the archive in File application , select Share, select MobMuplat.
Note 1 : You can also download : Ts1RemoteApp1_7.zip from Dropbox or Drive and copy manually with File app to the Mobmuplat folder.

Note 2 : You can transfert from MacOS with air drop to your mobile device.


On Android mobile : After downloaded, a dialog box apears, chose MobMuPlat application to install archive.

Note : You can download with Drive or Drobpox the Ts1RemoteApp1_7.zip

For both platform :

1. Connect your Midi interface with your cable adapter to your device.
2. On MoMuPlat application.
1. In “audio/midi” page, select the connected Midi interface, eg : ESI MIDIMATE eX Port 1.
2. In “folder” select App17 2.mmp file to launch TS1AppControl .
